1. Pricing Structure

Viya uses upfront pricing to provide transparency and ensure you know the fare before your journey. Our pricing is calculated based on base fare, time, distance, and real-time demand.

Dynamic Pricing (Surge): During periods of high demand relative to the availability of drivers, a multiplier may be applied to the upfront fare. This multiplier ensures reliability and incentivizes more drivers to enter the area.

2. Cancellation Policy

Viya’s cancellation policy protects the time and effort of our partners. Cancellation fees are calculated based on the driver's progress and time spent heading to your location.

  • Free Cancellation: You can cancel your request within 3 minutes of it being accepted by a driver without any fee.
  • Cancellation Fee: A fee of between R15.00 and R45.00 (depending on the vehicle type and distance covered by the driver) will apply if you cancel more than 3 minutes after acceptance or after the driver has already arrived.
  • Delayed Pickup: If a driver is delayed by more than 5 minutes compared to the initial ETA, you may cancel without any fee.
  • No-Show Fee: If a driver arrives and waits more than 5 minutes at the pickup location and cancels the trip due to a no-show, a standard cancellation fee will be charged.

3. Refund Policy

Viya is committed to providing a reliable experience. If there is a technical error or service failure, you may be eligible for a refund.

  • Overcharges: If you were charged more than the upfront estimate and provided no additional stops or route changes, you are entitled to a refund of the difference.
  • Service Failures: Refunds may be granted for trips that were not completed correctly, safety issues, or if the driver incorrectly marked a trip as completed.
  • Processing: Report issues via the "Help" section within 30 days of the trip. Approved refunds are credited back to your original payment method (bank account or card) within 3 to 5 business days, depending on your bank's processing times.
  • In-App Credits: At your choice, we can issue an immediate refund in the form of Viya credits for future use.
